In 2005, Knoxville Bowling Association, and Knoxville Womens Bowling Association merged to create the Smoky Mountain USBC. SMUSBC has six certified bowling centers, and over 1,000 members in the Knox and Sevier County areas. The association office is located at S&S Fountain Lanes, and is open every Tuesday and Wednesday 4:30PM to 6:00PM. The Association hosts over 11 certified tournaments a year, in every center for all bowlers to particiapte in.

The Association also sponors multiple Charity events each year; Pigeon Forge Bowling for a Cure is held every February. It has raised over $144,000.00 in its 15 years of fundraising for both the Susan G Komen Foundation and most reently the Pat Summitt Foundation.

The Bowl for Veterans Link (BVL) No Tap Championship, benefits the National BVL, who supports veterans in nursing facilities and VA Hospitals. The BVL provides funding for transportation, education, therapies, and many more events for our nations veterans. Since its inception in 2017, the SMUSBC BVL Fundraiser has donated over $20,000.00 to the BVL, with our most recent contribution to Knoxvilles Honor Air in the amount of $4,100.00.
